The Pivura Care Ritual.
Four steps. Five minutes a week. Brushes that stay worth keeping.
Lift what builds up
Makeup collects at the base of the bristles, where you can't see it. That's what makes application patchy. Weekly for creams and liquids, every two weeks for powder.
Bristles down, always
Water runs down the handle into the ferrule, the metal band holding the bristles. There's glue inside it. Drying bristles-down keeps water out and keeps the shape.
Keep the clean
An open cup collects dust and pet hair within days, and it goes right back on your face. A lid is what makes Sunday's cleaning still count on Friday.
Hold the shape
Brushes loose in a drawer splay over time and never blend the same way again. Mesh guards hold the shape they were cut into.
The ritual or the replace-cycle
Two ways to end up with brushes you're happy with. Only one of them keeps costing you.

How often should I actually clean my brushes?
Weekly for anything with cream or liquid product. Every two weeks for powder. If it's been much longer than that, you're in good company, and starting now counts.
Do I need all four steps?
Do I need all four steps?
No. Every step works alone. They just protect each other, because a clean brush stored in an open cup is a dusty brush by Thursday.
Does washing brushes actually make a difference to my skin?
Does washing brushes actually make a difference to my skin?
Product builds up in the bristles and goes back onto your face with every application. Cleaning is the part of the routine that nobody sees and everybody feels.
How long does the whole ritual take?
How long does the whole ritual take?
About five minutes of hands-on time a week. Drying happens overnight while you sleep.
What if my brushes are already in bad shape?

A deep clean recovers more than people expect. Brushes that are shedding or permanently splayed are past saving, and that's what the ritual exists to prevent next time.
